Belong "Common Era"

This record will most likely be my favorite shoegaze album of the decade.
Unless Kevin Shields actually decides to release the supposed third My Bloody Valentine album.

Night Manager

I've been addicted to this lately. Lo-fi grunge-doo-wop from Brooklyn. Download their first EP "///////" for free here.

V/A - "Back To Donut" No Idea Records Compilation

This comp is absolute nostalgia for me. I remember my uncle giving me a bunch of his cds before moving to Hollywood. It was mostly music I've never heard of before, mainly because at the time I was into nu metal. I think out of the whole cd box, which had in it Big Drill Car, Mega City Four, Jawbreaker, and such... I think I was most excited about the random Static-X cd. However! That slowly changed with that box of cds and particularly this compliation. No Idea records was the first indie/diy label I ever got into. And in my opionon, these days, No Idea has gone done hill compared to whats on this comp. It is from 1999 after all.  Right when the first track on the comp by Anklebiter breaks in, a flood of memories from when I was a freshman in high school comes flooding in. I remember, while sitting at some sort of school celebration thing,  listening to the Combatwoundedveteran track on my diskman, blarring at full volume on repeat. Fuck school, man. Out of all the tracks I remember liking Clairmel, Elmer, Fay Wray, Grade, I Hate Myself, Jud Jud, Mercury Program, Moonraker, Pung, Raydon, Retard Beaters, Reversal of Man, and Tevelve Hour Turn the most...

I don't know. Check it out for yourself..

Samantha Glass is life on a highway, if we had a highway that took us to the moon. Spaced out gothic electronic jams to get lost in the groove. And I think his website says it best... "This tape is dedicated to the search for finding the secret spot to rest and drift from the daily/life tasks that can chain the soul and life of humans from remaining free spirited." Beau Devereaux from Madison is the creative mind behind this project. He also just released a new tape on NOT NOT FUN that I recently heard sold out. Its a great natural progression from this first tape, maybe I'll post that soon. Drift on.
